| R.I.P. Paw Paw. 3/19/2007 I guess you could say I'm really upset right now. She had a good life. She was a great paw paw. I just wish I got to know her better. I really wish I had known her the way most people know their grandparents. And now I will never get to. So I did make a good decision - in the end, choosing the job I did, for the reasons that I did, has shown me, that it IS time to make those connections with family that I have yet to. Because I run from my frustrations and anger, and thus, I missed out knowing a part of my history I will never have back. May you watch over me in whatever I do. <3 | | |

| I don't do the holidays. Maybe it's because I'm not a big fan of spending ... hours with the family. I'm not sure when this started. I think when I was child when it was ... basically, "Lisa, your life is a waste"... and as sad as that is, and as much as I've been able to change that opinion of those who think that, it has made me think about how much I dislike the holidays. The cheer, the food - gross. But I constantly look for people who are family oriented in hopes that I will be somehow converted into that mindset as well. Rather, I sit here trying to take over the world through sleep. I <3 sleep.
On the side note, I've had a lot of time to think today - since I am going into hibernation. It seems as though I can be as blind as a bat and as clueless as the next fool, but really I am just one of those who aimlessly wander the world looking for something that may never be found. Like Santa Claus. Why do we pretend that he exists? What on Earth would possess parents to lie to their kids about a make believe person who doesn't fulfill wishes. Those poor kids who don't have parents who can support their dreams or make them come true, it just leaves them empty and hating the fact that this mess of a lie keeps alive year after year. BAHUMBUG.
I am such the Grinch this year. And I'm not quite sure how this happened. I guess I keep my life so busy that it's the only thing I know. I only know how to be busy and only have time for me. I don't know how to share quite yet because I feel as though it's just time for me to adjust to life - to the changes in life, to stuff that happens? I don't know. Why am I venting on Christmas Eve on this program?! Really... I guess it's just true about all the things that happen in the world, and most of it is because we have no idea why it is the way it is.
Do I make sense? Am I making any more sense than usual?
On a happier note, I got a lot of sleep! Sleep, does a body good.

| Prepare for a long one... So I'm going to pour my heart and soul into this since no one really reads it anyway - and really, it's a place for venting. OK, complaining. It seems as though my life is consumed with the little things, work, school, internship, and baking. Friends and such fit in all between but the conclusion that I have come to is that I can never hold a relationship because I simply do not have the capacity to do so. It sounds so unfortunately but after this month's interesting events, I have come to the conclusion that I must be surrounded by my friends, and these people simply are my friends. Nothing more. I don't have the maturity I guess you could say to do anything but be friends because apparently I can become this evil ... fill in the blank. It's not that I condone being awful or ... rude but it's something in me that I guess because I'm that awkward high school kid still - in terms of relationships, I'm just going to be awkward like this forever. For those of you who watch Grey's, you'll know the reference I am making when... Kallie (sp) is in the kitchen explaining Meredith's problem to the vet regarding relationships. I used to think I was this old soul, and to some extent I feel as though I still am in some aspects. But at the same time, I realized that maybe I'm a lot more immature in reality than I let people in on knowing. Who really knows me? No one really anymore. No one really knows "Lisa". They just know the girl who runs around all the time, trying to accomplish anything because I feel as though my success will define who I am. And it doesn't. It really doesn't. Either does failure. But I would rather have success... Lowellite I am. I guess conversations with old friends really bring out the best in you - the good old days I like to call them. Looking back on college, it seems like a lot has happened but it also seemed like it happened so fast. I don't that I am the type of person who really understands how things impact ... in the future until they do. And sometimes that is too late. I guess the point I will make before this doesn't save, is that I see relationships everywhere. All my friends are getting married and I'm ... single. I think I'm happy being single, but there are those times where it is nice to have more than just yourself. Okay, a puppy. But other than that, really... who am I? ::sigh:: | | |
